Jersey Type: Match Shirt ( issued / prepared ) for English-tyreless wings Steve McManaman as he never wore Longsleeve that season
Features :
The 2004/05 season marked the final chapter of Steve McManaman’s professional career, as the former Liverpool and Real Madrid star entered his second — and last — season with Manchester City.
McManaman’s role was limited under manager Kevin Keegan and later Stuart Pearce, as younger midfielders like Shaun Wright-Phillips and Joey Barton rose to prominence. He made just 8 Premier League appearances that season, mostly as a substitute, and was hampered by injuries and fading pace.
Despite his reduced impact on the pitch, McManaman brought experience and professionalism to a City side in transition. The team finished 8th in the Premier League, narrowly missing out on European qualification.
