The 2000/01 season marked the arrival of Pinga (Evangelino Valentim), a young and skillful Brazilian midfielder who quickly became a standout figure in Torino’s push for promotion.
Joining from Vasco da Gama, Pinga brought flair, vision, and technical ability to Torino’s midfield. Despite being new to Italian football, he adapted quickly and contributed significantly during the club’s campaign in Serie B.
