In the 1998/99 season, Giuseppe Signori delivered one of his finest campaigns in a Bologna shirt, proving that class and instinct never fade.
At 31 years old, the legendary Italian striker scored 15 goals in Serie A, finishing as Bologna’s top scorer and one of the most lethal forwards in the league. His left foot remained as deadly as ever, with trademark penalties, curling free-kicks, and clinical finishes.
Signori also helped Bologna reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, scoring crucial goals in their European run, as well as guiding the team to a solid 9th-place finish in Serie A under coach Carlo Mazzone.
